Token
Multisignature custody
Vesting represents the first layer of control over the three project allocations. Multisignature Safe wallet custody represents a second.
When tokens from the Team, Marketing, and Community vesting allocations become claimable, they can only be transferred to their corresponding designated project Safe multisignature wallet. This maintains separation between project allocations and avoids management of the entire project allocation through a single ordinary wallet.
Each Safe wallet transaction requires a 2 of 5 signing threshold for execution. This ratio allows for project security but also expedience of functionality with project transactions.
Designated Safe wallets
Vesting vs. multisignature custody
Vesting controls when tokens become available. Multisignature custody controls how vested project tokens are subsequently managed.
Once vested tokens have been claimed into their designated Safe, they should not be described as continuing to be locked merely because they are held by a multisignature wallet. They become project-controlled tokens whose movement requires the authorization established by the applicable Safe configuration.
